The Audi A6 is an executive car produce of the German automaker AUDI AG at the factory in Neckarsulm, Germany. It is available in both saloon and Avant body style.
Every generation of the A6 have been offered as either front wheel drive, or with trademark of Audi Torsen based quattro everlasting four wheel drive (4WD) system, at the same time as the second along with third generation A6 were in addition used as the base for the Audi allroad quattro and A6 allroad quattro models correspondingly.
As of 2010 there has been three generation of the A6, even though under platform of Audi numbering convention, it is treated as a continuance of the original Audi 100 ancestry, with the first generation car by means of the C4 platform designation formerly used for the final generation Audi 100.
